Anger Management

Anger Management

Would you rather be proactive, rather than reactive?

Anger Management Perth

Anger is an emotion that we have all experienced at one (or many) stage of our lives.

Often times, when we experience an emotion that isn’t happy, we attribute it as something bad. This isn’t necessarily the case, especially with emotions like anger. We feel the need to get rid of the emotion, instantly.

Can Anger Ever Be Helpful?

Anger can be helpful in some instances to help you to assert yourself or be honest about something you believe in.

What can be less than optimal is how anger is expressed and coped with.

For a person to admit they have a problem coping with anger, it takes a lot of courage.

Anger Stereotypes

Often, the stereotype we have of a person experiencing difficulties with anger management. Stereotypes sometimes include someone who may be violent, loud, perhaps even drunk or typically, male. It is crucial to challenge this stereotype.

Many of us do not identify with this construct. They exclude anger management difficulties as a possibility, instead labelling themselves as a ‘fiery person’.

This can mean they are more vulnerable when finding themselves in heated situations
