Position Available – Practice Assistant

Casual Position or Part-Time

Scarborough Office

We are seeking a unique individual who is;

Key responsibilities

  • Providing administrative support to the Business Manager, Practice Coordinator, Therapists and Volunteers
  • Managing reception
  • Liaising with Vision Counselling, community organisations and clients
  • Managing Xero, Medicare and NDIS Claims
  • Coordinating meetings

Qualifications and experience

Essential

  • High level of organisational skills
  • Strong verbal, non-verbal and written communication skills
  • Friendly and professional telephone and personal manner
  • Accurate record keeping ability and an eye for detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Work within Vision’s ethos and value system
  • National Police Clearance
  • Working With Children Check
  • Must be available to work on Fridays and cover leave for other admin staff when required

Desirable

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years experience in an administrative support role
  • Knowledge and experience in setting up and using Medicare systems and Medicare Easyclaim
  • Bookkeeping experience

Salary and benefits

The successful candidate will be casually employed by Vision Counselling and paid an hourly rate in accordance with their experience.
