About Therapist

Charlette is a compassionate and empathetic Counsellor. 
She adopts a holistic, integrative approach to counselling and endeavours to create a safe space for clients to feel heard, valued and empowered on their counselling journey.

Qualifications

Charlette has completed an Associate Diploma of Social Science (Welfare Studies) and a Bachelor of Social Work at Curtin University.  She has furthered her studies undertaking a Certificate in Buddhist Psychotherapy at Sophia College and a Graduate Certificate in Education Studies at Murdoch University.

Charlette’s training includes Person Centred Approach, Compassion Focused Therapy, Buddhist Psychotherapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution focused brief therapy and Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT), Narrative Therapy and is currently completing the Gottman institute training for relationship counselling.

Charlette is also a volunteer with Canteen for their Psycho-social program.

Therapeutic Approach

In my practice, I adopt a holistic, integrative approach. I aim to establish a relationship with my clients and accompany them on their journey, to explore their problems and feel empowered in the process.

I like my clients to feel that they are valued, respected, and heard. I endeavour to create a safe space, meeting clients with empathy and acceptance, and coming from an authentic place, where they feel they can share their experience.
