About Therapist

Kerry is caring, warm and relatable individual, who is here to listen and support you without judgement and make sense of things at your own pace.  Kerry is passionate about allowing her clients to show up as they are and truly explore and express themselves. Working with a number of tools and techniques, Kerry provides a person-centred approach and works with what is best for her client.

Background

Kerry is a member of the Australian Counselling Association (ACA). With a strong background in the education system, I have provided counselling and support to both adolescents and staff, helping them navigate a range of emotional and mental health challenges. I also volunteer as a counsellor for a not-for-profit pregnancy support foundation, offering compassionate care during times of uncertainty. Additionally, I serve as a Good Samaritan on the streets of Perth, offering monthly support to night goers and those experiencing homelessness, reflecting my commitment to walking alongside others in all stages of life.

Qualifications

Bachelor in Counselling

Therapeutic Approach

I work from a person-centred approach while working with a few modalities, tools and techniques to provide education, learning, support and strategies on how to deal with the problem at hand.

Tools

Cognitive Behaviours Therapy (CBT), Narrative Therapy, Family Systematic Theory, Gottman Family Therapy and Solution Focused Therapy.

Client Experience

I am passionate about providing the right space where you can truly explore and express yourself and your needs and feel you can put down all your worries in one place and know you are heard, valued and worthy. We are not meant to walk life by ourselves in isolation, relationships are an important part. I aim to meet you where you’re at and not rush you, walk alongside you and provide the support to heal, encourage, cheer, what ever it may be, so you can learn, start or continue living your best life.
